I don't know. I haven't raised rates. I think people are sick of sitting home or maybe the economy is improving. Wouldn't that be great!

We are an independent hotel in Branson, MO and the economy has hit us hard. Our guest 'squeak' when they walk in the door! They are looking for the best deal and will go up and down the road checking prices. We desperately need to increase our prices to cover the cost of all amenities customers are demanding now. This is a different market than the large upper scale hotels that are in the locale of large conventions etc and can set their price. There are also pricing wars on marquees that are happening that drive the price down.
